All custom projects begin with an initial design concept based on the information, images, measurements, gemstones, and preferences provided by the customer.

Any preliminary sketches, renderings, reference images, measurements, or quotations provided before the CAD stage are for design reference and estimation purposes only. They are not intended to represent the exact final dimensions, proportions, gemstone sizes, weights, or construction details of the finished piece.

The final specifications will be established during the CAD design process.

Quotations are based on the specifications available at the time of quotation and may be revised if the design, dimensions, gemstones, metal, weight, or other specifications are changed.

A semi-mount is a jewelry setting prepared to accommodate a center gemstone or diamond, which is set separately at the final stage.

The customer is responsible for providing accurate and complete dimensions of the center gemstone or diamond, including length, width, and depth where applicable. The setting will be designed and manufactured based on the dimensions provided.

Lilly M. JEWELERS cannot guarantee the fit or secure setting of the center stone if the dimensions provided are inaccurate, incomplete, or differ from the actual gemstone. Any modifications required due to incorrect or changed dimensions may incur additional charges and production time.

Customer-provided images, sketches, or other references are used to understand the desired style, proportions, and design direction. Unless expressly agreed otherwise, these references do not require an exact replica.

Lilly M. JEWELERS may make reasonable technical adjustments to the design when necessary to ensure structural integrity, durability, safety, proper gemstone setting, wearability, or manufacturability. Any material change affecting the agreed design or appearance will be communicated to the customer for approval where reasonably practicable.

Once the custom order has been confirmed and the required payment received, our design team will prepare the CAD design where applicable. The CAD file and rendered images will show the final design details and dimensions, including gemstone measurements, placement, setting structure, ring size, and other applicable specifications.

The customer is responsible for carefully reviewing all details and confirming that the design and specifications meet their requirements before approval. Production will begin only after the final CAD design has been approved by the customer.

By approving the final CAD design, the customer confirms acceptance of the design and specifications and authorizes Lilly M. JEWELERS to proceed with production. Any changes requested after approval may be subject to additional charges and production time.

Gemstone dimensions and weights may vary slightly due to the natural characteristics of gemstones and the cutting process.

For gemstones that require custom cutting, such as French-cut, calibre-cut, or other specially shaped stones, the final dimensions and carat weight may vary from the initial estimate because the stones must be cut to achieve the required shape and fit.

Therefore, any preliminary gemstone dimensions, carat weights, or quantities are estimates unless specifically confirmed in the final approved specifications.

Exact gemstone measurements and final specifications will be confirmed during the CAD and production process where applicable.

Any metal weight, thickness, dimensions, or other measurements provided before production are estimates unless expressly stated as final.

The final weight of the jewelry may vary slightly due to:

• Final dimensions
• Stone sizes
• Setting requirements
• Structural requirements
• Manufacturing tolerances
• Hand-finishing and polishing

Where a final metal weight is materially different from the quoted specification and results in a material price change, Lilly M. JEWELERS will inform the customer before proceeding where reasonably practicable.

The customer is responsible for providing the correct ring size.

Because custom rings are manufactured specifically to the requested size, customers should confirm their ring size carefully before production. Any subsequent resizing may incur additional charges and may not always be technically possible depending on the design, gemstone arrangement, metal, or construction.

Resizing a custom piece does not guarantee that all original proportions or design elements will remain unchanged.

We are happy to accommodate up to 3 minor revisions or 3 design points during the CAD design stage, such as adjustments to proportions, dimensions, gemstone placement, spacing, or setting details, provided they remain within the agreed design concept.

Requests that materially change the design concept, structure, gemstones, metal, setting style, or require substantial redesign may be considered major revisions and may incur additional design or production charges.

Once the final CAD design has been approved, no further changes will be made without our confirmation. Any changes requested after approval may incur additional design, material, or production costs and may extend the production timeline.

For customer-supplied gemstones, the customer is responsible for providing accurate information about the gemstone and any known treatments, damage, or existing conditions. We may inspect the gemstone before setting and reserve the right to decline setting if we consider it unsafe.

All customer-supplied gemstones must be shipped to Lilly M. JEWELERS using a shipping method arranged or approved by us. We will arrange a secure, fully insured shipment from the customer to our workshop. Please do not ship any gemstone without notifying us in advance or using a shipper other than the one agreed with us.

Lilly M. JEWELERS will exercise reasonable professional care; however, we cannot guarantee against damage arising from pre-existing conditions, inclusions, fractures, treatments, or other inherent characteristics of the gemstone.

Where Lilly M. JEWELERS provides the final gemstone-setting service, the applicable setting charge will be included in the quotation.

For semi-mount jewelry, prongs or other setting elements may initially appear unfinished or upright in preliminary images because they are designed to be adjusted around the customer’s actual center gemstone during the final setting process.

The final setting will be completed according to the gemstone dimensions and the approved design.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, full payment is required before production begins.

Because custom and semi-mount jewelry is specifically made according to the customer’s requirements, payment is treated as authorization to commence the custom production process.

Payment may include, where applicable:

• Jewelry production
• Custom design/CAD fees
• Gemstones / Custom-cut gemstones
• Setting charges
• Engraving
• Special materials
• Other agreed services

Additional charges resulting from customer-requested changes after approval must be paid before the additional work is undertaken.

Production will begin after:

1.Required payment has been received;
2.Required gemstone information has been confirmed;
3.Final design/CAD approval has been received; and
4.Any other required information or approvals have been completed.

Estimated production times will be stated in the quotation or order confirmation.

Production times are estimates and may vary depending on design complexity, gemstone availability, custom cutting, manufacturing requirements, revisions, and other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Because custom jewelry is made specifically for the customer, custom orders cannot normally be cancelled once production, custom gemstone cutting, material procurement, or other customized work has commenced.

If cancellation is requested before production begins, Lilly M. JEWELERS may review the request on a case-by-case basis.

Any refund, if approved, may be subject to deduction of costs already incurred, including design, CAD, gemstone procurement, custom cutting, materials, payment processing, or other non-recoverable costs.

Once production has commenced, custom orders are generally non-cancellable and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

This approach is consistent with the custom-order policies used by major jewelry retailers.

Shipping arrangements, insurance, import duties, taxes, customs clearance, and other applicable shipping-related charges are subject to our Shipping Policy.

Where Lilly M. JEWELERS agrees to cover import duties and taxes, such coverage will apply only as specifically stated in the quotation or order confirmation.

Because custom jewelry is made specifically according to the customer’s requirements, custom, personalized, modified, and semi-mount jewelry is not eligible for return or exchange due to a change of mind, preference, or sizing issue, except where required by applicable law.

This includes jewelry that has been:

• Custom designed
• Modified from an existing design
• Made to a specific size
• Personalized or engraved
• Made with specially selected or custom-cut gemstones
• Made or ordered specifically for the customer

If a product is found to have a manufacturing defect or does not conform to the final approved specifications, Lilly M. JEWELERS will review the matter and, where appropriate, provide a reasonable remedy in accordance with our warranty and applicable law.

Lilly M. JEWELERS stands behind the quality of our craftsmanship. If a customer believes a piece has a manufacturing defect, please contact us promptly with photographs and relevant details. We will review the issue and, where confirmed as a manufacturing defect covered by our warranty, provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with our Warranty Policy.

Normal wear and tear or damage caused by impact, accidents, improper use or care, chemical exposure, unauthorized repair or alteration, or other external factors is not considered a manufacturing defect and is not covered under the warranty.

Where the issue is confirmed to be a manufacturing defect covered by our warranty, we will determine the appropriate remedy, which may include repair or other reasonable service.

All original designs, CAD files, technical drawings, renderings, concepts, and other design materials created by Lilly M. JEWELERS or its designers remain the intellectual property of Lilly M. JEWELERS, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Approved renderings are provided for the customer’s reference and approval only. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer does not receive ownership or rights to use, reproduce, manufacture, modify, distribute, or provide our designs or CAD files to another manufacturer.

If the customer requests the actual CAD or technical files for use by another manufacturer, this may be subject to additional fees and our prior written approval.

Customer-provided designs, artwork, and other materials remain the property of the customer or their respective rights holder.

Lilly M. JEWELERS may photograph or render completed jewelry for quality control, documentation, portfolio, website, social media, marketing, or educational purposes, provided that no personally identifiable customer information is disclosed without consent.

If a customer does not wish their custom piece to be used for marketing purposes, they may notify us in writing before or at the time of order.

By approving the custom design, making payment, or instructing Lilly M. JEWELERS to proceed with production, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted this Custom & Semi-Mount Jewelry Policy.

These terms apply in addition to Lilly M. JEWELERS’ general Terms & Conditions, Warranty Policy, Shipping Policy, and other applicable policies.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any mandatory rights or remedies available to the customer under applicable law.
